Flights to Warsaw

Warsaw, the capital city of Poland, borders both banks of the Vistula river.  A city of 1.3 million inhabitants, Warsaw was the capital of the resurrected Polish state in 1919.  City, II.  Before World War II, it was a major centre of Jewish life and culture in Poland.  The Jewish population of more than 350,000 made up about thirty percent of Warsaw's total pre-war population.  The Jewish community in Warsaw was the largest in both Poland and Europe.  This congregation was the second largest in the world, compared to New York City.

Warsaw is the capital of Poland and also the largest city in this country.  In addition to being the capital of Poland, Warsaw is one of the largest cities in Eastern Europe in terms of surface area.  Since the winters are generally harsh and cold in the region, which is under the dominance of the continental climate, tourists visit this place mostly in the summer months, after the weather gets warmer.  Polish is the official language of Poland and is estimated to be spoken by a total of 50 million people around the world, including 39 million in Poland.

The country has entered the European Union but has not yet started to use the Euro as its currency, so it is one of the most suitable European countries to travel economically with Warsaw and other touristic cities. The currency of the country is Zloty, which means gold in Polish language.

What to see in Warsaw

Lazienki Park

Lazienki Park, which was officially declared a public park in 1918, has a magnificent atmosphere with its natural appearance.  We can say that this park, which attracts tourists from all over the world, is a corner of heaven in the name of music, art and culture.  Lazienki Park is located in the middle of the city, covering an area of 76 hectares and is a park full of endless green lakes.  Pigeons, playful squirrels and swans are among the most beautiful surprises of the park.  Our recommendation is that you definitely and definitely visit this park with comfortable shoes.  Visiting this biggest park of Warsaw will take you 3-4 hours if we take into account the museums it contains.  As we mentioned before, since social life is cheap in Poland, we see that the entrance fees to museums and ruins are also quite affordable.

Culture and Science Palace

This building, which does not go unnoticed that it is among the buildings that tourists coming to the city most want to visit, houses many institutions such as libraries, cinemas, theatres, sports clubs, institutes, universities and museums.  Although the building was named as Josef Stalin Culture and Science Palace when the foundations of the building were laid, the name “Josef Stalin” at the beginning was removed in the later period.  When you climb to the top of the building, Poland is almost laid out under your feet.  But Poles don't like this building at all because it was built by Stalin in 1955 and reminds them of Communism.  The Poles do not like this building, which they see as one of the symbols of the Soviet Union. They think the most beautiful place in Warsaw is the top of the Palace of Culture, because that peak is the only place in the city where the palace of culture is not seen.  This building, which was used as Stalin's personal palace at the time, is located in the city centre of Warsaw.

Royal Castle – Zamek Królewski

One of the most distinctive symbols of Warsaw, the Royal Castle is also one of the most popular tourist attractions in Poland.  This 13th-century building now hosts festivals and cultural forums.  The Royal Castle Zamek Królewski, which is also a museum, has managed to take its place in history as a place where kings and princes ruled the country for centuries and also where parliamentary meetings were held.  But you know that when it comes to Poland, the effects of World War II do not end.  Unfortunately, World War II did not pass by the Royal Castle.  Unfortunately, this structure also got its share from the bombardments made during the tough times of the war and turned into ruins.  Right after the war, this palace was reborn from its ashes like a Phoenix, so to speak, and continues to be a bridge between the past and the future with a magnificent restoration without disturbing the harmony of the Old Town.

Warsaw Old Town – Stare Miasto

The Old Town, one of the most important places in Warsaw that smells of drama, is on the Unesco World Heritage List.  The sad story of this beautiful city is based on the Warsaw Uprising of 1944, the rebellion against the siege of the Nazis for 63 days.  The inhabitants of the period, who showed an example of complete patriotism, were able to show a strong resistance against the Nazi Army for exactly 63 days and were lost at the end of this 63 days of heroic resistance.  The balance sheet of this rebellion is also quite heavy.  As a result of the suppression of the rebellion, around 16,000 insurgents and around 210,000 civilians lost their lives.  It is not known whether Hitler took an example from the Persians, but he gave the order to flatten the city of Warsaw, one of the most beautiful cities in Poland, without leaving a stone on a stone, a head on a body.

Nowy Świat

Since we are here on a date between Christmas and New Years, everywhere is quite decorated.  Poland is very successful in this regard.  In many spots, light frames with the inscription Warswaza are placed so that you can take pictures of the memory of Warsaw.  Nowy Świat has palaces and monuments such as the University of Warsaw, Palac Branickich, Pawilony Nowy Świat, Pałac Zamoyskich, Pałac Staszica, Pomnik Mikołaja Kopernika, Holy Cross Church, Pałac Tyszkiewiczów-Potockich, Pałac Czetwertynskich-Uruskich.

The cuisine of Poland, which has a deep-rooted history, has also been shaped over the past centuries and has grown and enriched every day.

Sanok

Sanok, one of the most popular main dishes of the city, is one of the delicacies you can order in almost every restaurant.  This type of dish, in which beef is served with a special sauce, is one of the delicacies that appeals to both the eyes and the stomach.

Bigos

Bigos meal, which consists of cooking julienne chopped meats by blending with asparagus, is indispensable for Warsaw evenings.  Those who taste the food served with pasta or rice become regulars.

Kotlet Schabowy with Kartofle

If you're craving fast food in Warsaw, Kotlet Schabowy is the first local delicacy to come to mind.  The side dishes and potatoes served with it are delicious.  We recommend you to try Kotlet Schabowy, one of the oldest dishes in the country.

When to visit Warsaw

The best time to travel to Warsaw is between May and September.  Since the hottest and rainy weather of the year begins with these months, the probability of rain increases during the summer months.

Towards the end of spring, between May and June, the weather can be cool or warm;  with high temperatures varying between 15–19 °C, it rains much less than in summer. So this is the perfect time for nature lovers to visit.
