When to go to Paris

Paris is the home of fashion, the Mona Lisa, croissants, and the Eiffel Tower. While many are choosing this city to show their love and appreciation to their beloved ones, this is also a place with strong political and economical power. This is why there are a few airports around the city, which connect with a strong infrastructure of train and bus network to communicate with the city. Paris is worth visiting any season, however, Christmas and New Year have a special magic. Late spring and early summer are the best time to visit weather-wise. September is also a good choice if you are planning a quiet and relaxing city break in the French capital.

What’s the weather like in Paris?

The weather in Paris is continental and therefore mild. Winters tend to be cold but not freezing. The average winter temperature is 1C and it rains quite often. Summer in Paris can be hot in July, with temperatures reaching 30C occasionally. Usually, temperatures vary between 13 to 25C. Spring and autumn are rainy, with temperatures between 12 to 20C. This might be a good time to travel to Paris for those who want to avoid crowds and can't handle hot weather.

What to see and do in Paris

With a long history, impeccable architecture, and fine cuisine, it's not easy to see and do everything in just a 2-3 days city break in Paris. This city itself is so special and charming that one day is needed to just wander on Paris streets, on foot, with a photo camera and why not, nice company. A walk along the Seine river at night is a memory for a lifetime. There is also the option of boat trips down the river. Of course, Eiffel Tower remains the top-visited spot in Paris and its fame is well deserved. The city views it opens are breathtaking and you can get on top of the tower by stairs or by lift. Prices for one adult ticket ranges between 10 and 40 euros. If you are into sports, there is also the option to climb to the top with a guide. This experience costs 54 euros per adult.

Another famous attraction is the Louver. The museum itself is huge and if you are in Paris for art, you better be there early. It can easily take a day to admire all the exposed pieces of art. The famous Notre Dame is closed for the time being due to the fire back in 2019.

Champs-Élyséesis the splash of chic and luxury in the middle of the French capital, which culminates with the Arc de Triomphe. This is the place where the history and evolution of Paris are as close as they can be to any of us. The high-end shops, restaurants, and office buildings are open to visitors along the street, while the Arc de Triomphe has stood there for centuries to remind us of the long way French society went to the modern world.
