If the only thing you know about Madeira is Cristiano Ronaldo, we have good news for you! This is one of the most charming, green, and old islands in Europe. Its black beaches, dense forests, mountains, and clear waters are the reason why millions of tourists visit Madeira every year. The evergreen island is preferable to visit any time between April to November, as the weather is fantastic, however, if you prefer a specific activity, you should know that April to mid-June is perfect for hiking and is popular among flower-lovers for Madeira Flower Festivals. June to September is recommended for those who love to swim and enjoy wine tasting at the Wine Festival held in August. From October till March water is cold to swim and the rainy season starts in November, but you can still enjoy sightseeing and discovering island life.
