This museum has a great collection made of marvellous paintings even since the 14th century.
The museum is home for many painters: from Vermeer, Rembrandt and Goya, and also Degas, Monet, Picasso and Beckman. There are also paintings from contemporary artists like Baselitz and Bacon, paintings and drawings from Cezanne, Durer, Ernst, Pollock etc. There is an option for English tours made for international tourists. It is situated in the Inner City. Maintower is 200 metres tall and finished in 1999, and has a rooftop observatory. The Maintower has 2 viewing platforms with wonderful views. There is also a very interesting restaurant on the 53rd floor. In this tower there are also art installations.
The Palm Garden is situated on Bockenheimer Landstrasse. It is the greatest garden and very interesting for the tourists, opened in 1871.

Near this garden is Europarutm (Tower of Europe). It is a telecommunication tower 337 metres tall. It is very interesting and has a platform and a restaurant.

One of the most interesting buildings because of its colour is Frankfurt Cathedral (St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral). It is made out of red stone in Gothic style, built in the period of 13th and 15th century. This cathedral is made as Imperial Cathedral, where coronations of the Emperors were made in the past.
The sculpture Crucifixion is placed under the tower. Also in Marienkapelle is placed Maria-Schlaf-Altar.
Kleinmarkthalle is one of the most interesting markets in Frankfurt. There are many shops and dates from 1954 with around 1500 square metres. The specialty in this market is Green Sauce. It is made of sour cream, eggs and seven herbs. You can also find local specialties like cheeses, sausages and pastries.
As above mentioned, Frankfurt is the birthplace of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. His home, where he was born and lived, showed the way of life he and his family had. There is the dining room, and the most interesting room, his writing room. There he wrote many of his early works.
Nearby is the Museum, which has 14 rooms, filled with artworks, including items from baroque and romantic periods. There is a possibility to have family guided tours. There is also Goethestrasse where there are many art galleries, boutiques, and cafes. This street also shows the importance of the writer.
