Vueling Flights

Vueling, the Spanish low-cost airline, is based in Barcelona and has hubs at El Prat de Llobregat Airport, Paris Orly Airport, and Leonardo da Vinci - Fiumicino airport in Italy. In addition to this, Vueling is the largest company in Spain, with a fleet size of 66 aircrafts. This shows that it is also one of the best companies for those who are looking for quality but without having to spend too much money on their flights. As of 2021, Vueling serves 122 destinations in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. It's been an operating company of International Airlines Group since 2013. In 2019 alone, it carried 34 million passengers!

History

Founded in 2004, Vueling started operations with a flight between Barcelona and Ibiza. The initial fleet consisted of two Airbus A320 aircraft serving Brussels, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, and Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Combining the Spanish word vuelo (flight) with an English gerund suffix (-ing), the name "Vueling" is formed.

Fleet

The Vueling fleet consists primarily of Airbus A320 family aircraft, with an average age of 3 years as of March 2018, leased from International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC). Vueling also operates Boeing 737-800s on behalf of Air Nostrum, Airbus A330-200s, and Airbus A340-300 on behalf of Iberia Express and Lufthansa, respectively.

Check-in

Vueling check-in is available from 7 days before departure up to the same day of your flight. You can check-in online or at the airport, but our recommendation is for you to do it as soon as possible. Online check-in is not available for all Vueling flights, so make sure you check the list of destinations where online check-in is available.

Hand and hold luggage

The hand luggage policy for Vueling flights only allows passengers to bring one item of cabin baggage in the cabin. Cabin baggage must fit in the overhead lockers or under the seat in front of you. The maximum allowable dimensions are 40cm x 30cm x 20cm. The maximum allowed weight is 7kg.
