Middle East Airlines Flights
Lebanese flag carrier Middle East Airlines Flight is headquartered at Beirut's Rafic Hariri Airport, close to the airport's main entrance. The quality of Middle East Airlines' airport and onboard products and the service provided by its staff has earned the airline a 3-Star rating.
A brief history
As early as 31 May 1945, Saeb Salam founded Middle East Airlines. As a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance, Middle East Airlines (MEA) operates flights across the Middle East. At a press conference in New York held in early 2006, MEA expressed an interest in becoming a member of SkyTeam. A partnership agreement was signed between the airline and SkyTeam on 28 February 2011 in Beirut, and the airline became its 17th member as well as the second airline from the Middle East to join the alliance on 28 June 2012.
Destinations
With over 30 destinations to choose from, the company offers something for everyone. Milan, London, and Frankfurt are just a few of the European destinations served by MEA flights. Fleet
Airbus is the only aircraft in MEA's fleet (excluding Cedar Executive). The company operates a fleet of over twenty aircraft. Airbus A320neo family aircraft were ordered by Middle East Airlines during the first quarter of 2013 ( an A320neo and an A321neo). In addition to the A320neo that was originally ordered, five more A321neos were later added to the order.
The check-in procedure
Before the flight departs, you are able to check-in online between 24 and 3 hours before departure. Bookings can still be changed up to 3 hours before departure. A passenger's e-ticket number and flight number are required to check in online. Once a seat has been selected, it can be confirmed online. As soon as passengers receive their confirmation, they can save and print it.
Hand and Hold Luggage
Passengers travelling with MEA Airlines are allowed 1 piece of hand baggage per person. In addition to its weight, the luggage must measure 56 x 40 x 25 cm and not exceed 10 kg. Middle East Airlines flights allow different amounts of checked luggage based on the route the passenger is travelling. There is a 23 kg luggage limit for Business and Economy Class passengers on MEA London flights.

The MEA offers a variety of European dishes influenced by Lebanese cuisine. There are built-in features such as an espresso machine and a steam oven. There are also bread warmers and air chillers. Since MEA accepts American Express, Visa, and MasterCard for onboard purchases, passengers do not need to carry physical currency. Both young and old passengers can enjoy Hollywood and Disney movies on the in-flight entertainment system.
