A brief history

Jet2.com Limited is a subsidiary of Jet2 plc, which provides aviation services. As the executive chairman of Dart Group, Philip Meeson purchased Channel Express in 1983, beginning the company's commercial aviation operations. As a freight airline, the company charters passengers since 2001, primarily within the United States and overseas.

The destinations

The airline flies to more than 70 destinations in Europe, including Spain, Germany, Greece, the Mediterranean Sea, Italy, and Turkey. It operates from Leeds Bradford Airport in the United Kingdom and from nine other bases in the country, including {list_destinations}.

The fleet

The Jet2 fleet consists of more than 100 aircraft, all of which are based at Leeds Bradford Airport. Jet2's current fleet consists primarily of Boeing 737 aircraft, but European manufacturer Airbus is also expanding its presence. Ten Airbus A321s are currently in service with the carrier, seven of which are leased from airlines such as HiFly, SmartLynx, and Titan

The check-in procedure

Check-in is possible online up to six hours before departure, up to 28 days in advance. It is important to print off or download your boarding passes. A Jet2 flight check-in desk opens at least two hours and 30 minutes prior to departure. Check-in desks close 40 minutes before departure, so please arrive at the airport in plenty of time.

Luggage allowance for hand and hold

If the bag does not weigh more than 10 kilograms and is no larger than 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm (including wheels and handles), it will be accepted onboard for free. Up to 22kg of checked baggage is allowed for Jet2 passengers.

Classes of service and seats

There are three categories of seats available on Jet2 flights. Prebook seats, extra legroom seats, and emergency exit seats.

All Jet2 aircraft offer extra legroom seats. During the booking process, we clearly mark these seats on the seat maps, which are typically located toward the front and middle of the aircraft. Customers who select emergency exit seats are required to adhere to rules and regulations established by the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA).

On-board services

There is a buy-on-board menu available on Jet2 that offers snacks and hot and cold beverages. If you want to know more about the options for special meals, then contact the airline directly 24 hours before departure. Passengers with special needs are provided with assistance by Jet2. The on-ground staff can assist with wheelchairs and airport check-in. Services can be chosen based on the needs of passengers. Directly contact customer service if you are expecting a child, a parent with an unaccompanied child, or a person with a disability.
