"Fly Into Tomorrow" is the slogan of Japan Airlines flights, and it is safe to say that they are able to live up to the promise they make on their website. A Japanese national airline, Japan Airlines, is headquartered in Tokyo and is also known as Nikko. The airline is part of the JAP group of companies that also includes J-Air, JAL Express, Japan Air Commuter, Japan Transocean Air, ZIPAIR Tokyo, Ryukyu Air Commuter, and JAL Cargo. In addition to being the official sponsor of the Japan Football Association, Shimizu S-Pulse, and Consadole Sapporo, JAL is the sixth-largest airline in the world.

History

Japan Airlines was founded on August 1st, 1951. In 1951, the first flight of the airline was made on the 25th of October. In order to establish Japan Airlines, the Japan Airlines Act was passed. On the 2nd of February, 1954, the airlines made their first international flight from Tokyo to San Francisco, carrying over 18 passengers. In 2001, the airlines merged with Japan Air System. The airlines suffered and went bankrupt, and their name was reconstructed as Japan Airlines Company Limited.

Destinations

Japan Airlines flies to more than 90 destinations worldwide. Some of the busiest routes for the airline include {list_destinations}, among others. As a member of the OneWorld alliance, it has been a member since 2007. Additionally, it has codeshare agreements with several other carriers in addition to its partnerships with other Oneworld members. Emirates, Air France, Air Tahiti Nui, and WestJet are among them.

In addition to the Boeing 787-8, Japan Airlines has a large fleet of 170 aeroplanes. 

Check-in

For passengers with an e-ticket or a magnetic boarding pass, Japan Airlines offers Web Check-in Service. Japan Airlines offers you the ability to check in online from either the official website or the airline's mobile site. Check in online 72 hours prior to your scheduled departure time and select or change your seat from the seat map.

Hand and Hold Luggage Allowance

The maximum size and weight of two carry-on bags for Japan Airlines flights cannot exceed 46 linear inches (L+B+H) together. There is also the possibility of taking one personal item with you (such as a laptop bag, purse, or briefcase).  Travellers who have reservations with Japan Airlines are permitted to check two bags with a maximum weight of 23 kgs in Economy and Premium Economy and 32 kgs in Business and First Class. It is allowed to have a maximum measurement of 79.9 linear inches (L+B+H).
