Iberia Airline is a Spanish airline based in Madrid, Spain, and the country's flag carrier. It is the world's seventh oldest airline still in operation. It is certified by Canstar Blue as a 4-Star Airline for the quality of its airport product, onboard service, and staff. This rating is based on the seats, amenities, food & beverages offered before, during, and after your flight. The service rating includes both cabin crew and ground staff.

History

Iberia is the largest airline in Spain and the second-largest in Europe. It is owned by the International Airline Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways, Iberia has its head office in the IAG building on the grounds of Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport in Madrid. The airline's registered office is in the town of Fuenlabrada, Madridsurrounded by Madrid's metropolitan area. In 2010 it merged with British Airways to form International Airlines Group (IAG) but continues to operate under its own brand. Iberia operates an extensive network of services from its main base at Madrid-Barajas Airport and several hubs located at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, Barcelona Airport, London Heathrow Airport, and Santiago de Compostela Airport.

Destinations

As the Spanish flag carrier, Iberia operates routes throughout Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. Fleet

The airline fleet of Liberia consists of Airbus A330-200, Airbus A330-300, and Airbus A321, A320, and more. Currently, Iberia has a fleet of 44 Airbus A320 aircraft based in Spain. The fleet consists of 11 A319-100 jets, 14 A320-200 jets, 8 A320neos, and 11 A321-200 jets. There is no doubt that the Airbus A320 family is the most successful and versatile jetliner family on the market, and it is capable of holding between 100 and 240 passengers in the widest single-aisle cabin of any airline.

Check-in

With Iberia, you can check in online using their website, at the automated check-in kiosks at the airport, or at their airport counters. To do so, you must be in possession of the printed boarding pass for your flight. There are also mobile boarding passes available for mobile devices.

Hand and Hold Luggage Allowances

The maximum size of the cabin bag is 40cm x 30cm x 15cm. One personal accessory is recommended along with your cabin bag.

An accessory may be a briefcase, a handbag, a small portfolio, or a laptop computer is an accessory. As long as you are travelling with a baby, you will also need a bag for their food, drink, and any necessary items on the plane.
