HiSky

HiSky is a company with 100% private capital and was founded as an attractive alternative for local and regional aviation. It operates flights to the most popular destinations in Europe. A big share of their operations is serving local tour operators with charter flights to some exotic destinations. The price policy combines principles of low-cost service with a wide range of additional services available at an extra fee.

History

HiSky founder is a former pilot with aviation background of 20 years.

Moldova's aviation authorities did not grant HiSky an air operator's certificate in February 2020 due to inconsistencies found during the certification process. However, on the 11th of December 2020, the airline obtained its operational certificate in Romania, and on 19 February 2021, it obtained its operational certificate in Moldova. The airline started flying to Dublin and Lisbon from its first hub in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Destination

The network of destinations is constantly expanding covering attractive cities in Europe. It includes {list_destinations}. As the pandemic is coming to an end, the airline launched domestic flights between the main cities in Romania. The airline operates as well on Moldovan market and serves passengers with a number of flights departing from Chisinau airport.

Fleet

The HiSky fleet is small and consists of Airbus 319 and 320. Fleet age is on average 10 years. The aircrafts have been refurbished and equipped to comfortably transport passengers on short domestic flights as well as longer charter operations to exotic destinations.

Check-in

HiSky passengers have two options to check-in: online check-in free of charge or airport check-in. Airport check-in starts 2 hours and closes 40 minutes before departure time. At some airports, check-in may open three or more hours before the flight, but the closing time scale remains the same. The cost for check-in at the airport for tickets in Basic fare is 10 euros. For Classic / Premium / Premium Plus fares, check-in at the airport is free.

Hand and hold luggage

HiSky Airline offers three cabin classes on its aircraft, namely Business class, Premium Economy and Economy class. The maximum weight limit for hand luggage is 7kg and the maximum size allowed is 45cm x 36cm x 20cm (length x width x height).
