History

Brussels Airlines was established in 2002 and is owned by Deutsche Lufthansa Group. It was created by merging SN Brussels Airlines and Virgin Express with a new name Brussels Airlines. First, In 2008, it was announced that Lufthansa Group would acquire 45% stakes in Brussels Airlines, and then, Lufthansa acquired 100% ownership of the Airline in 2017. Now, Brussels Airlines is expanded to the point where it also offers cargo capacity on all its flights and manages daily maintenance of its fleet.
