The President of the Republic of Moldova established Air Moldova on January 12, 1993. The early 90s was a challenging era for Moldova airlines due to many political issues, reorganisation of aviation, decrease in living standards of people, and uncontrolled economic relations. However, Air Moldova survived all the hardships and became a member of IATA in 2004. At last, the company completed its fleet in 2010 by adding a new Embraer 190 Jet aircraft.

Air Moldova has 5 aircraft in its fleet including Airbus A321, A320, and A319 aircrafts. Aircraft A321 and A320 offer economy and business class because of having more seats but Aircraft A319 only provides economy class service.

Check-in

Online check-in feasibility is available on Air Moldova. It opens 24 hours before departure till 2 hours before departure. Passengers must be on time at the airport with their boarding passes. Verify your gate at the airport when your flight is boarded.

Hand and Hold Luggage allowance

Passengers are allowed to bring hand baggage of a maximum of 8kg with them. No one is allowed to bring a handbag exceeding 8kg regardless of their tickets in the Basic, Optimum, and Comfort sections.
